In the November 5 preliminary report, Shannon Singleton received 57.25% in round two of the Multnomah County chair contest, while Julia Brim-Edwards received 42.75%. The county cautions that the unofficial figures can shift as more ballots are tallied.

OPB reported Thursday that Brim-Edwards conceded and wished Singleton success in her new role. OPB also reported that Singleton is to take over from Jessica Vega Pederson, who has served as chair since 2022.
