Cornelius Pass Road reopened at Rock Creek Bridge on Friday evening, Oct. 9, ODOT announced. The agency said traffic can use the road and bridge, although crews expect to continue work over the coming weeks.

ODOT placed the crossing roughly three miles north of the U.S. 26 junction, beyond Hillsboro. The new single-span bridge has two traffic lanes and broad shoulders, the agency said; it replaces a functionally obsolete structure dating to 1946. Work began in April 2026 and closed the road to all traffic during construction, ODOT said. Washington County lists October 2026 as the construction finish.
