The City of Portland says it chose five affordable housing developments for funding, and those projects are projected to bring 327 homes to the city. The City says planned work includes rooftop solar, better insulation, and mini-split systems for heating and cooling individual units.
The City says the awards followed a competitive funding process held in summer 2026. Strategic Program 1, which the City says PHB has administered since its establishment in 2023, makes up to $60 million available over five years for regulated affordable housing in Portland. The City says another PCEF funding opportunity is planned for spring 2027 under Strategic Program 25.
