Vancouver police said they arrested three teenagers, ages 13, 16 and 17, in connection with a drive-by shooting on the morning of October 28.
Officers responded to the intersection of West Evergreen Boulevard and Jefferson Street at about 5:45 a.m. after a report of gunfire. They found a spent shell casing in the roadway. No injuries were reported.
Investigators obtained a description of a vehicle believed to have been involved. Later, a woman reported that her underage son had taken her car without permission and returned home with two friends. The car matched the description.
The teenagers were detained and taken to the Robert L. Harris Juvenile Justice Center. Police said the allegations include first-degree attempted murder, drive-by shooting and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.
The investigation is continuing. The allegations do not establish guilt in court.
