Multnomah County officials reported that Childswork Cherry Blossom Learning Center in Southeast Portland was out of compliance with Preschool for All program requirements.

The decision comes amid a criminal investigation involving a former employee who faces child sexual abuse charges.

According to FOX 12 Oregon, the center cannot enroll additional children through Preschool for All until it submits new safety plans.

Parents expressed concern about how the center's management informed families of the initial allegations. Some parents moved their children to other preschools.

Portland police previously reported the former employee's arrest in September and are continuing the investigation. The charges remain subject to the criminal process.

Preschool for All said it is prepared to help families transfer children to other facilities if needed.
