VANCOUVER, Wash. — November 4, 2026. The Associated Press called the race for incumbent Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez over state Senate Republican minority leader John Braun.
Preliminary official figures Wednesday morning put Perez at 54.96% districtwide and Braun at 44.18%. In Clark County, Perez led with 61.12% to Braun’s 37.99%. Braun led among the votes counted in Lewis County.
The district combines urban and suburban Vancouver with large rural areas of Southwest Washington. Perez, first elected in 2022, has won a third two-year term, keeping a competitive seat in Democratic hands.
Vancouver will retain its representative in the House, where lawmakers decide federal spending on transportation, infrastructure, public programs and government agencies. The final percentages may change as counting continues.
